Thanh Nien Newspaper is going to launch its English newspaper the Thanh Nien Daily next week. The newspaper said this morning in a press conference that the first issue of Thanh Nien Daily would be released on October 1st and ambitiously targeted the circulation of 1 million copies per day for the current Vietnamese daily.
The 16-page new-born Thanh Nien Daily will have exclusive information targeted on foreign readers besides news and reports translated from the current Vietnamese daily, said Deputy Chief Editor Nguyen Quang Thong. Seven foreign staff will be involved the new print English edition including Ms McCracken, who was the graphic designer for the U.S. Chicago Tribune.
At the moment, Thanh Nien has a Vietnamese daily, a weekly magazine (Thanh Nien Weekly), a Vietnamese online newspaper and an English one.
